Dominic “Viri” Sinominae
ASLA Benefactor
Sinominae is the Asylum’s
major benefactor. Sinominae is a mysterious individual, with a life
story that always changes depending on whom, where, and when a discussion
about him takes place. His initial investment made ASLA “state
of the art”. At first, there seemed no end to the money. But
after the turn of the century he suggested applying for state funding.
At this point, ASLA was the “shining star” among institutions.
That is, until a former employee made wild claims about strange procedures,
secret experiments and staff/patient “indiscretions”.
Although he had no qualifications, Sinominae insisted on his presence
at all major “institutional operations” – medical
and otherwise. ASLA came under suspicion in the late 1940s. Several
investigations were made over a three year period in the early 1950s.
Sinominae was not available for any of these inquiries. Prior to the
final inspection attempt, a Dr. Ambrosi was discredited and pronounced
insane. He returned to ASLA as a patient. The last attempt to inspect
the institution resulted in an open attack by inmates and staff alike,
with several officials having the flesh bitten and torn from them.
A few in the party made it out of the Asylum. The fate of the others
is unknown. The same is true for “Viri”. Rumor has it
he locked himself away somewhere in the Asylum and is …watching.
