Claudia LaMitad ASLA Psychologist Dr. LaMitad was hired at ASLA because her research centered on the cannibalistic tendencies of psychopaths and sociopaths. In conversation with other staff members it was apparent that this was her obsession. She was given the position of mortician at ASLA when personnel believed cannibalism was suspected. Shortly after taking the position, LaMitad found there was no cannibalism apparent at ASLA. She remained on in the mortician role after the investigation. About a year later, there was an accident during the attempted capture of an escaped inmate while LaMitad was embalming one of the deceased, with blood flying and people running everywhere. A file report mentions that when she was discovered later that day, she was soaked in blood, with blood oozing from her mouth. Some say she acquired the taste that day, but, running off screaming, LaMitad was never heard from again. authorities.
